Lots of Aluminum, here, for sure! So, where are all the fans? To be honest, when you go to the Vintage Race Car meet at Loudon, you don't go in the stands, you go into the infield and into the garage area and most anywhere else inside the oval. A three day pass will run you $25.00. Their restaraunt is open, but chances are there are a few of those in attendance that have gas grills and are happy to feed ya!
Here's a photo of the late Buster Warke and me that was taken at Loudon back in 2005, when I first went to the show up there. I'm pretty sure the late Keith Herbst took this photo. I do believe Buster was the Grand Marshall back then, for the show. He was 90 years old back in 2005. Buster left us, at 93, on February 20, 2008. As you can see, it was a little "cool" then.

There have been rumors of some possible day/date changes for the next Vintage Race Car meet at Loudon. The Open Wheel Oval cars might get the weekend, and those that run the road course, the week days. Or it might be changed ot a later date in the summer.

I can only suggest yo keep an eye on this website, and my weekly columns, for any changes that might occur. If you're into racing, as it wasy way back when, might I suggest you try to make the next Vintage Race Car meet at Loudon?

Hope ya enjoyed this trip back in time!
